Mrs. Lessie Irene Walker Leegan, age 96, of Waverly, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, in Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Leegan was born November 10, 1918, in Lobelville, TN, to Leffler Barnett and Annie Irene Loggins Walker. She was married to Nealy Fate Leegan, who preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Leegan was a member of Wildwood Valley Church of Christ in Hurricane Mills, TN, and a homemaker. Visitation with the family was Friday, October 23, 2015, from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, October 24, 2015, from 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro. Rick Rolin and Bro. Jeremy McFarlin officiated the service. Interment followed in the Leeper Cemetery in Lobelville, TN. Survivors include: 2 Daughters: Joyce Turpin, Waverly, TN Jewel K.
