Mrs. Retha Faye Moore Arrington, age 85, of Vancouver, WA and formerly of Waverly, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in the Pacific Specialty Nursing Rehab Facility in Vancouver, WA. Mrs. Arrington was born January 5, 1930, in Tupelo, MS, to George Dewey and Annie Pearl Shackelford Moore. She was married to Arapheal Leo "Ray" Arrington, who preceded her in death on September 21, 1988. She was born in Tupelo, moved to Memphis, TN at age 5, moved to Waverly, TN, in 1980, and moved to Vancouver, WA to live with her daughter, Susie, in 2008. She was a member of the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Arrington was a retired Humphreys County Supervisor for Highland Rim. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all. She loved traveling and helping others. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 17, 2015, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro. Basel Hooper will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery in Hurricane Mills, TN. Survivors include: 1 Son: Ray Arrington, Steele, MO 1 Daughter: Suzzanne Reeves, Vancouver, WA 3 Brothers: George Moore, Memphis, TN Jimmy Moore, Memphis, TN Larry Moore, Tulsa, OK 4 Grandchildren: Danny Reeves, Matthew Reeves, Robert Dunn, and Sabrina Arrington 6 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by: Husband: Ray Arrington Son: Arapheal Arrington, Jr. Daughter: Sandra Finkbeiner Sister: Lela Boyette 2 Brothers: Elbert Moore and Lawrence Moore LUFF-BOWEN FUNERAL HOME 2400 Hwy. 13 North Waverly, TN 37185 Telephone 931-296-2437
