Michael "Mike" Irvin Snyder

Michael "Mike" Irvin Snyder, age 62, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, after battling cancer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Private Graveside service and burial will be in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, with Dr. Richard Bray officiating. Pallbearers will be Mitch Snyder, Tracy Snyder, Justin Snyder, Nathan Snyder, Trent Snyder, and Carter Reese. Mike was born on March 2, 1953, in Clarksville, TN, son of Donald and Billie Jo Snyder. Mike graduated from Waverly Central High School in 1972 and worked at DuPont for twenty years before moving to Phoenix, Arizona. He was a devoted follower of Christ, and had a deep love for his family. His smile could fill a room and it was only matched by his compassionate and generous heart. Survivors: He leaves behind his father, Donald Snyder, a daughter; Jennifer Wauthier (Jad Wauthier), of Austin, Texas, two grandchildren, Jada and Brianna; his twin brother, Mitchell Snyder (Martha Snyder); brother, Tracy Snyder (Teresa Snyder); and sisters, Pam Heaton and Donna Reese (Bill Reese). His dearest friend and greatest support in Arizona was Ms. Barbara Gear.
