Marla Scurlock Sharp, age 44, a resident of Cleveland, TN, and formerly of Humphreys County, Tennessee passed away Monday July 27, 2015 at the family residence. She was the Owner/Operator of The Diner on 1st, since 2008. She studied at the Arts Institute of Atlanta in the Culinary Arts program. She attended The New Life Bible Church and was a devoted Christian loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday, July 31, 2015, at the Friendship World Outreach in Waverly, TN, with Pastor Josh Hannah officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Andrews Episcopal Church Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN. Jordan Sharp, Joshua Scurlock, Chuck Whitsett, Dustin Whitsett, Austin Cummings, and Ben Wilson will be serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 until 8pm EST at the North Ocoee St. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes in Cleveland, TN, and from 1 until 2pm Friday CST at the Friendship World Outreach Church in Waverly. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Marla Scurlock Sharp Memorial Fund at any Regions Bank.
