Mr. Clinton "Clint" Wilson Callicott departed this life to be with our Lord on June 3, 2015. He stood steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. His days were filled with giving to his family, wide circle of friends, and community during his sixty-six years on this earth. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn of 43 years; his sons Clayton (Molly); Claude (Lee Ann); and his grandchildren; Sarah Beth, Nolan, Ella, and Marian; brother Pled Duncan (Virginia); sister Dorris Douglass; and nieces and nephews. During his life, he commissioned many meaningful causes that have favorably impacted and continue to impact our society. Through his jovial, humble personality and God-given gift of leadership, he left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. He was a faithful steward to agriculture, wildlife, community, athletics, and most importantly the people he loved. He was the true meaning of a public servant who believed you leave more than you take. He was a man of vision and had the unique ability to lead large groups of people for a common cause. He believed that in the heart of every man were unique God-given gifts as an individual. He was a man of passion who firmly believed your investment should be in the hearts of people not in the almighty dollar. He was the epitome of a family man as a faithful husband, exemplary father, and a doting grandfather. He was blessed to humbly serve as: Co-founder Grassland Athletic Association Co-founder University of Tennessee at Martin Rodeo Team Williamson County Commissioner (2 Terms) Williamson County Executive (1 Term) Tennessee State Representative (4 Terms) State Board for the Tennessee Farmer's Co-op (3 Terms) He maintained strong conviction and lived by the verses in Mark 12:30-31 "And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these." Friday, June 5, 2015, from 3-8 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 115 West Main Street, Waverly, TN 37185. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Waverly. Interment will follow in the Callicott Family Cemetery in Only, TN.
