Herman Oscar Rye

Mr. Herman Oscar Rye, age 80, of McEwen, TN, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, in the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. Mr. Rye was born October 18, 1934, in Erin, TN, to Hubert and Ruby Curtis Rye. He was married to Alneita Dotson Rye. He was a retired Carpenter for Tennessee Valley Authority in New Johnsonville. He was a member of the Olivet Church of Christ in McEwen and a member of Humphreys County Coon Hunters Club. Visitation with the family will be Monday, February 23, 2015, from 2-8 p.m., and Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen. Interment will follow in the Long Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Rye, Todd Collins, J. D. Harvey, Shorty Mosley, Paul Prescott, and Mike Burns.
