John Whitney "Whit" Rawlings

Mr. John Whitney "Whit" Rawlings, age 45, of Cordova, TN, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, in Memphis, TN, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Whit was born June 12, 1969, in Waverly, TN, to John Howard and Mary Scurlock Rawlings. He was a graduate of Waverly Central High School and received his Master's Degree from University of Tennessee at Martin. All services for Whit will be at Friendship World Outreach, 1452 Clydeton Road, Waverly, TN. Visitation with the family at the church will begin Tuesday, August 26, 2014, from 2-8 p.m., and Wednesday, August 27, 2014, from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m. Pastor Josh Hannah will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Scurlock Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
