Loyd "Mack" McCord

Mr. Loyd "Mack" McCord, age 86, of McEwen, TN, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home following an extended illness. Mr. McCord was born January 21, 1928, in Lyles, TN, to Calvin Porter and Etta Minerva Tidwell McCord. He was married to Helen Faye Holland McCord for 63 years. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of McEwen. Mr. McCord was a U. S. Army Peacetime veteran and a retired mechanic for Consolidated Aluminum Corporation, formerly located in New Johnsonville, TN. Mack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014, from 1:30-9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Rev. Tommy Street will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Fews Chapel Cemetery in McEwen, TN, with military honors at the graveside. Active pallbearers will be Jeremy McCord, Perry Edmondson, Tony Hux, John Mayberry, Jeremy Davidson, and Jason Patrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mack's 13 great grandchildren and Dewey Story.
