Nora Waggoner Plant

Mrs. Nora Elizabeth Ellis Waggoner Plant, age 83, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Plant was born September 10, 1930, in Lenoir City, TN, to James Henry and Viva Lou Olive Ridge Ellis. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church in New Johnsonville, TN and the Pisgah United Methodist Women. She was retired and had worked as a Sales Clerk at The Quality Store in Waverly, TN, and a Cafeteria Worker for Lakeview School in New Johnsonville, TN. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 3:30-8 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Sunday visitation will be at the Pisgah United Methodist Church, 4860 Old State Route 1, New Johnsonville, TN, from 12:30 p.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m. Pastor Paul Edwards of Dover, TN will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the J. Warren Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN. Active pallbearers will be Brad Lee Wilson, Michael Odom, William Christopher Hemby, James Anthony DeMoss, Jonathan Wade DeMoss, Casey Alexander Waggoner, Jeremy Don Waggoner, and Joseph Quinton Waggoner. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Daniel Waggoner and Justin Andrew DeMoss.
