James Wesley "J.W." Hooper

Mr. James Wesley "J. W." Hooper, age 68, of McEwen, TN, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, at Houston County Community Hospital in Erin, TN. J. W. was born October 26, 1945, in McEwen, TN to Claude Wesley and Loretta Finch Hooper. He was married to Sandra Jean Welch Hooper. He was a graduate of McEwen High School Class of 1964. He attended Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene in McEwen, TN. J. W. was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the McEwen Masonic Lodge #525, and a Shriner. He was retired from Temple Inland in New Johnsonville, TN. He loved farming and wood working. J. W. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 4-9 p.m. at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Masonic Rites will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Luff-Bowen Chapel in McEwen. Rev. Lawrence Golden will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Larry Hooper, Gerald Hooper, Sammy Hooper, Ricky Hooper, Cody Mathis, and Gary Mathis.
