Wilburn F. Gordon

Mr. Wilburn F. Gordon, age 79, of Erin, TN, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013, in Erin, TN. Mr. Gordon was born December 25, 1934, in Waverly, TN, to Johnny and Ida Rice Gordon. He was married to Jo Ann Gordon. He was a farmer and a retired operator for the Houston County Highway Department. He also worked at Consolidated Aluminum Corporation in New Johnsonville, TN. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Erin. Mr. Gordon was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was a member of George Hillman Lodge #431 Mason and the Aluminum Workers Local Union. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 1, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, January 2, 2014, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. J. T. Baggett of Dickson, TN will be officiating the service. Entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN.
