Mrs. Josephine McCarson Wheeler, age 76, of McEwen, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in NHC HealthCare in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Wheeler was born November 9, 1937, in McEwen, TN, to Oliver Bruce and William Hattie Davidson McCarson. She was married to Clifton Wheeler. She was a homemaker and attended the Open Bible Assembly in McEwen, TN. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, December 26, 2013, from 5:30-9 p.m., and Friday, December 27, 2013, from 9 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Pastor Kent Curtis and Bro. Bruce McCarson will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Gorman Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Active pallbearers will be Blake Wheeler, Austyn Wheeler, Brad Wheeler, Mark Proctor, Kenny McCarson, Nick Ross, Bobby Wheeler, and Billy Daniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Proctor, Junior Lane, and Daniel McCarson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Open Bible Assembly Building Fund.
