Alice Irene Hagen

Mrs. Alice Irene Fischer Hagen, age 81, of Waverly, TN, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, in Signature Healthcare Center in Erin, TN. Mrs. Hagen was born April 7, 1932 in Hazen, North Dakota, to Fred and Johanna Schultz Fischer. She was married to Claremont Oliver Hagen of Waverly, TN. She was a former "old-fashioned" telephone switchboard operator for 2 years during high school in Bismark, ND. She was a retired LPN. Mrs. Hagen took advanced courses later in life in flower arranging in 1986 and business office in 1988. She was an active member of the Women's Auxillary of the Waverly Elks Lodge for many years. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 8, 2013, from 9-11 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. A celebration of life and graveside service will follow at 11 a.m., at the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Pastor Dickie Johnson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rodney Vann, Timmy Vann, Steve Hooper, Ray Smith, Bo Elliott, and John Coffelt. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Thompson and Don Hardin.
