Lonnie Brown Hill

Mr. Lonnie Brown Hill, age 97, of McEwen, TN, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, in Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Mr. Hill was born January 30, 1916, in Faxon, TN, to James Manley and Mary Margaret Winters Hill. He was married to Ruth Mae Coleman Hill. He was a member of McEwen First United Methodist Church and the Hope Singers Quartet at the church. He was also a member of Faxon Old Timers Baseball Team in Benton County, TN. He was a retired toolmaker for Vulcan Tool in Dayton, OH. Mr. Hill loved fishing and was an avid gardener. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 8, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Visitation on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, will be from 10 a.m. until funeral service time at 11 a.m., at the McEwen First United Methodist Church, 146 Church St., McEwen, TN. Rev. Jim Fields will be officiating. Interment will follow in the McEwen Cemetery.
