Helen Patricia Tarpy Pullen

Mrs. Helen Patricia Tarpy Pullen, age 94, of McEwen, TN, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Pullen was born May 28, 1919, in McEwen, TN, to Thomas and Molly Sheehy Tarpy. She was married to William Overton Pullen. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McEwen, TN. She was a retired bookkeeper having worked for Kraft Cheese Company in McEwen, TN, Wolf Creek Ordinance in Milan, TN during World War II, and McEwen Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Pullen was a 64+ years member of Central View Women's Club, Chairperson of Irish Picnic Doll Booth for over 20 years, member of St. Patrick's Women's Club for years, and the 2009 St. Patrick's Legacy Club Irish Cup Recipient. She was an avid quilter. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-9:30 a.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. A rosary service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 28, 2013, at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Catholic Church in McEwen, TN. Rev. Michael Baltrus will be officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery in McEwen, TN. Survivors include: Daughter: Camillia Pullen Moore (Marty), McEwen, TN Granddaughter: Nicole Alexis Moore, McEwen, TN 2 Sisters-in-law: Mildred Pullen, Memphis Betty Tarpy, Knoxville, TN Numerous loving nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: Husband: Overton Pullen Parents: Thomas and Molly Tarpy 4 Brothers: Marvin Tarpy, Tom Tarpy, Jerome Tarpy, and Leonard Tarpy Sister: Mary "Christine" Gonzaga 5 Sisters-in-law: Jo Tarpy, Mary Catherine Tarpy, Gladys Tarpy, Jennie Lee Monroe, and Louise Pullen 3 Brothers-in-law: Sam Monroe, Lanier Pullen, and Carl Pullen
