Tempie Conner Davis

Mrs. Tempie Conner Davis, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2013. Mrs. Davis, a resident of Waverly and Warren, Michigan, was born in Hickman County, TN in 1922. Mrs. Davis was a long-time beautician and owned her own business in Hazel Park, Michigan. During World War II, she went to Detroit to work at Champion Spark Plug to assist in the war effort. Mrs. Davis was predeceased by her dearly missed husband Holland Davis. They were married 57 years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Mary Davis of Miami, FL; and her daughter and son-in-law; Donna and Randy Dominick of The Villages, Florida; three grandchildren; Michelle Rowe and her husband James of Madison Heights, Michigan, Mark Dominick and his wife Lisa of Oakland Township, Michigan and Major Michael Davis and his wife Jennifer of Ft. Carson, CO, one sister; Evelyn Winstead of McEwen, TN, and eight great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan and Colton Rowe; Maegan and Claire Davis; Raegan, Kennadi, and Davis Dominick and their brother Matt Serra. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Algie and Maryann Conner of McEwen, TN. She was a member of the Central Free Will Baptist Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. A brief service will be held in Michigan. Visitation will be held at Luff-Bowen Funeral in Waverly, TN on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 3-8 p.m. An additional viewing wll be on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Chapel in Waverly. Rev. Milton Worthington will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethpage Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
