CSM George Marvin Bos, U. S. Army Retired, age 70, of New Johnsonville,TN, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Select Specialities Hospital in Nashville, TN, after an extended illness. He was born on July 17, 1942 in Springfield, IL, to George Morton and Ellen Mae Carter Bos. He was married to Patricia "Pat" Ann Daniels Bos of New Johnsonville, TN. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Hurricane Mills, TN. He was a veteran having served 26 1/2 years in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War and retiring as Command Sargeant Major. CSM Bos was a member of AUSA, 101st Airborne Association, American Legion, and VFW. During his U. S. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 5-8 P.M. and Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 9 A.M. until funeral service time at 10:30 A. M., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. Keith Willhite will be officiating. Andrew Willhite will provide TAPS at the funeral home before leaving for the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Beau Crunk, Kyle Barbee, Hunter Coker, David Barbee, Kevin Coker, and Johnny Osteen. Committal service and interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery West with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion, the VFW, or to the New Johnsonville Senior Citizen's Center.
