Wayne Douglas Scurlock

Mr. Wayne Douglas Scurlock, age 67, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on September 28, 1945 in Waverly, TN, to Earl and Cornelia Hemby Scurlock. Mr. Scurlock was the owner/mechanic of Scurlock Auto Repair in New Johnsonville, TN. He was a Tennessee National Guard veteran during the Vietnam War. He was an avid bass fisherman and a member of the Humphreys County Bass Association. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 4-8 P.M. and Monday, March 4, 2013, from 9 A.M. until funeral service time at 11 A.M., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro. Joe Rhodes will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Scurlock Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Active pallbearers will be Lance Loveless, Phillip Scurlock, Chase Scurlock, Butch Ballard, Perch Patterson, and George Stribling. Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Collins and Tim Kelly.
