Marian Malone Mallard

Mrs. Marian Malone Mallard, age 93, of Mt. Juliet, TN and formerly of Waverly, TN, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at The Gardens at Providence Place in Mt. Juliet. She was born on July 14, 1918 in Sugar Valley, GA. Mrs. Mallard was a long time employee of Humphreys County Farm Bureau and Waverly Lumber Company. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church in Waverly, TN. The family extends their gratitude to The Gardens at Providence Place in Mt. Juliet, TN and Odyssey Hospice. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 10:30 A.M. until funeral service time at 1:00 P.M. at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Rev. William L. Swafford of Talbot, TN and Rev. Phil Ross of Waverly, TN, will be officiating. Interment will follow in the H. B. Parker Cemetery in Waverly, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; Marion Douglas and Julia Floria Strain Malone. Survivors include her husband; Joe A. Mallard, Sr., Mt. Juliet, TN, 3 sons; J. Arthur "Art" Mallard, Jr. (Deborah), Knoxville, TN, Murray Mallard (Becky), Mt. Juliet, TN, Steve T. Mallard (Judi), Suffolk, VA, sister; Yvonne Swafford (William), Talbot, TN, 5 grandchildren; J. A. Mallard, III (Jennifer), Christa Early, Brittany Mallard, Tori Mallard, and Eric Bliss, and 6 great grandchildren.
