Jewel Dodson Pace

Mrs. Jewel Page Dodson Pace, age 96, of Waverly, TN, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at the Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly. She was born December 5, 1915 in Hurricane Mills, TN. She was a member of Waverly Church of Christ, former member of Humphreys County Historical Society, Home Demonstration Club, Humphreys County Museum, developed the former Mini Mall and the Professional Building in Waverly, and the first female Board of Directors member of the Citizen's Bank of Waverly. Mrs. Pace and her first husband, Bliss Dodson, were the founders of Waverly Transfer Company. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. and Friday, April 13, 2012 from 9 A. M. until funeral service time at 11 A.M., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly. Bro. Jeff Keele will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Waverly Church of Christ, 438 West Main St., Waverly, TN 37185.
