Mrs. Martha Kelly Luten Jackson Liverman, age 73, of Waverly, TN, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. She was a loving mother and grandmother, kind-hearted yet spirited, and a fine southern lady. She was a Lady of the Realm in the Memphis Cotton Carnival in 1957. Mrs. Liverman was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in New Johnsonville, TN, Daughters of the American Revolution, AOPi (Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at Vanderbilt University), attended Gulf Park College in Gulf Park, MS, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN, and received her B. S. in Psychology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Visitation with the family will be at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, Friday, November 11, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with funeral service following at 2 p.m. Father Mike Bradley will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Marable Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Memorials may be made to Humphreys County Humane Society, 108 Young Road, Waverly, TN 37185.
