Dr. Lawrence Richard Jackson, Sr., age 75, of Waverly, TN, died Saturday, January 29, 2011, at the Three Rivers Hospital in Waverly, TN. Dr. Jackson was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Memphis Medical School, a former physician for NASA, was a physician in Dickson, TN, Morristown, TN, Sevierville, TN, Missoula, MT, and Port Charlotte, FL. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 10 A.M. until funeral time at 1 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Friends of the Smokies, P.O. Box 1660, Kodak, TN 37764.
