Jimmie Cole James

Mr. Jimmie Cole James, age 83, of McEwen, TN, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Mr. James was born on March 29, 1927 in Gibson, TN, to Robert Guy "R. G." and Sue Cole James. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Caroline James Todd. Survivors include his loving wife; Brenda Gail Tyler James, McEwen, TN, son; Bob James, Erin, TN, daughter, Jenny James, North Carolina, loving friends; Robert Sizemore and Miranda Joy Sizemore Jackson, both of McEwen, TN, and his very special cat; "Booger". Mr. James was the retired Owner of McEwen Dairy Queen, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in McEwen, TN, a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, former member of the Kiwanis Club, Gibson Lions Club, a Charter member of Humphreys County Museum, and an avid animal lover. Graveside services and interment will be held Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the McEwen Cemetery, Cemetery Street, McEwen, TN. Rev. David Deavers will be officiating.
