Mrs. Sadie Mae Hooper Story, age 90, of Waverly, TN, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at Waverly Health Care Center in Waverly, TN. Mrs. Story was born on April 7, 1919 in Waverly, TN to William J. and Minnie Belle Craft Hooper. She was a member of Elysian Grove Church of Christ in Waverly, TN. She was married to the late Connie Leander Story. She was also preceded in death by 2 daughters; Earline Dale Story and Velma Balthrop Shawl. Survivors include 4 sons; Joe Clint Story (Maie), Ernest Wayne Story (Martha), Robert Lee "Pete" Story, and Donald Ray Story (Patricia), all of Waverly, TN, 4 daughters; Martha Jean Coleman (Herman), Dickson, TN, Diana Sue Chance, Waverly, TN, Patricia Chessor (Terry), Centerville, TN and Linda Kay Halsbrook (Mike), Centerville, TN, 28 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren. Visitation 4-8PM Thursday, July 9, 2009 and 9AM until funeral service time at 10AM on Friday, July 10, 2009. Rev. John Johnson will be officiating with interment to follow in the May Cemetery. Pallbearers include John Story, James Story, Thomas Story, Timmy Story, Lee Story, Adam Anderson and Tyler Hatcher.
