Duff Stephen Moore

Mr. Duff Stephen Moore, age 46 of Fairview, North Carolina, and formerly of Waverly, Tennessee, died as the result of a motorcycle accident on Monday, June 29, 2009 in Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Moore was born on April 28, 1963 in Dayton, OH. He was a retired Tech Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a Kentucky Colonel, former Police Officer for the Waverly Police Dept., former Deputy for the Humphreys County Sheriff's Dept., former U. S. Mail truck driver and a First Degree Mason. Currently he held the position of Director of Admissions for South College in Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Moore was a member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife; Kimberly Kathryne Binkley Moore, Fairview, NC, children; Duff Andrew Moore and Crystal Dawn Moore, both of Ashland City, TN, Kaylee Pelfrey (Joshua), Germany, parents; Duff P. and Elsie Dowell Moore, Waynesburg, KY, brothers; Ken Waddell (Sharon), Waynesburg, KY, Leonard Moore (Mary), Canyon City, CO, sister; Judy Gray (Tony), Benton, KY, inlaws; Ray and Shirley Binkley, McEwen, TN, and several loving nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 3, 2009 from 3-9 PM and Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 9 AM until funeral service time at 11 AM at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN. Bro. Charles Sprouse from Fairview, NC will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Binkley Memorial Gardens in McEwen, TN with full military honors.
