Mr. Jeremy Michael Vandevoir, age 21, of New Johnsonville, TN, died in a swimming accident on May 12, 2009. Jeremy was a butcher at Curtis Foods in New Johnsonville, TN. He loved playing his guitar and hunting. He graduated from Waverly Central High School in Waverly, TN, was a member of the Friendship World Outreach Church in Waverly, TN and a member of the Waverly Elks Lodge. Jeremy was the son of Mike and Debbie Alvarez Vandevoir of New Johnsonville, TN. Other survivors include 2 brothers; Jeffrey Vandevoir (Sara), Brentwood, CA and Travis Vandevoir (Tiffany), Antioch, CA., 2 nieces, 2 nephews and lots of loving friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother; Donna Jean Alvarez, maternal grandparents; Duke & Iva Alvarez, paternal grandparents; Robert & Mildred Vandevoir, paternal great grandparent; Bessie May Winters, and 1 cousin; Wesley Compton. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 3-9PM and Friday, May 15, 2009 from 10AM until funeral time at 1PM at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in Waverly, TN.
