Mr James Mason Hudgins

Mr. James Mason Hudgins, age 79, of McEwen, TN, died July 31, 2006 of complications from congestive heart failure. He was preceded in death by his parents; James Alvin and Bertie Petty Hudgins, wife; Marjorie Pierce Hudgins, daughter; Carolyn Wells, son; James Mason Hudgins, Jr., great granddaughter; Ashlan Murphree, sister; Odell Henderson, and stepmother; Josie Hudgins. He is survived by daughters; Janiece Damesworth, McEwen, TN, Lynn (Robert) Mosley, Fairview, TN, daughter-in-law; Melanie Hudgins, Laguna Niguel, CA, seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother; Roy (Jean) Hudgins, Paris, TN, sisters; Juanita (Dan) Brooks, Puryear, TN, and Oreta (Gene) Long, Camden, TN. Mason valued his membership at Trace Creek Baptist Church in New Johnsonville, TN, and his church family. As a young man, he became well-known for his ability as a mechanic. He continued to use these skills to help his church and friends after his retirement some 20 years ago from E. I. DuPont in New Johnsonville, TN. He loved motorcycles and he was an avid camper. He never gave up the dream of driving his truck and going camping with his club just one more time. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Mason would be honored to have a donation made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
