Mrs Gayle Holtzinger

Mrs. Marcia Gayle Griffith Holtzinger, age 67, of Waverly, TN, died of cancer at her home on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents; Newton Jasper and Margaret Lenora Sherman Griffith. Survivors include her husband; Paul Lloyd Holtzinger, Waverly, TN, 3 children; Dr. Catherine Anne Stallworth (Dr. Robert Jackson), Nashville, TN, Philip Alcide Robichaux, III, Waverly, TN, Jay Fredrick Robichaux, Portland, OR, 1 stepson, Joshua Paul Holtzinger (Sarah), Denver, CO, 3 grandchildren; Meghan Elizabeth Stallworth, William Parker Stallworth and Jack Holtzinger, 1 sister; Diane Griffith Hoogland, Rushton, LA, 2 nephews; Michael Hoogland, Shreveport, LA and David Hoogland, Monroe, LA. Gayle worked for 20 years as a geophysicist for Shell Oil Company in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church, Three Rivers Dulcimer Club, Maple Leaf Quilters and American Humane Society. Graveside services and interment of cremated remains will be held at 9:30 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Wade Knight Cemetery in Waverly, TN. A memorial service will follow the burial on Saturday at 11:00 AM, at the Waverly United Methodist Church, 115 West Main St., Waverly, TN. Rev. David Spencer will be officiating.
